GG’s Restaurant & Bar continues to prove why Port Royal is a must‑visit spot. I had great service from start to finish — the food was good, the drinks were on point, and the service was absolutely excellent. The entire staff is friendly, but Louise really stood out with her energy and attention. The atmosphere is exactly what you want: chill, welcoming, and easygoing, with sports playing on the TVs and a playground area for kids, which makes it perfect for families. Whether you’re stopping in for a meal, a drink, or just a relaxed hangout, GG’s delivers every time. Highly recommend.
Let’s start with the service. It was fantastic. From Donna our server to Dominic the bartender and owner. Both were so helpful and friendly and informative about our visit to the area. My husband ordered the spaghetti-bol sandwich and loved it. It was unique and great comfort food. (Lots of carbs). I had a Reuben which was fantastic. It had turkey, corned beef and pastrami. Soooo good. The star of the show was the fries. They are “scoops”. Not quite a fry and not quite a roasted potato. Delicious. Parking was abundant along the street. Service was quick.
Family oriented restaurant with great music. The back seating area has a full playground with swings. The tuna melt was so yummy! Paula was an amazing hostess
Paula was our server. She was wonderful with the children. My daughter and I brought my great grandchdren here for lunch. We were able to eat and relax while they played. Playground is a genius marketing strategy. Will definitely be back!
Stopped in for the first time since this business opened; I was immediately greeted and seated. My very pleasant server was Alina. The Sands Beach Tower Club w/fries was great. Food was hot and Alina was prompt with checking in on me several times. I didn't take advantage of the live music, and I'd like to try other dishes, so I'm looking forward to another visit.
The family friendly atmosphere will definitely bring us back. The outside play area was so nice for the kids while we waited for apps and our food it didn’t feel like we waited at all. The live music was an extra perk for enjoyment!! The food was excellent, only complaint was the crab cake was a little over done. Our waitress Chloe was perfect, attentive, checked in on us if we needed drinks and was so pleasant. This is a must go to place!!!
My Caesar salad was excellent! It was so good looking I had to take a photo before digging in. And it tasted even better than it looked! Definitely going back over and over for more! Laura was a great waitress!
Holy moly! I can’t rave enough about our dining experience here; food was killer, atmosphere was a lovely & clean vibe, and Vanessa took such amazing care of us!! It was our first time stopping in, and even though we were excited to check it out, it totally exceeded our expectations. My partner got the Spaghetti Slammer and I enjoyed the Semper Fi-re Smash Burger - both were ridiculously delicious. We can’t wait to come back and explore the menu more, and maybe check out karaoke night! Biggest thanks again to Vanessa for making our meal so special!! 😁 The cocktails, awesome tunes and friendly crew were an added bonus!
Had my cousin’s graduation celebration at this wonderful place! He received his first free meal as a Marine at GG’s! Paula, Hope and Mrs. Sarah was phenomenal! Great service, food was good and hot. We had about 15ish of us and they done great job serving us all!!! Thank you to the whole GG team for making our celebration extra special!
Visiting from out of town and found GG’s as a local place with creative menu options. I got the Crabby Abby Patty as I love crab cakes. Was unsure about bacon and avocado, but somehow it worked. My husband got Big Daddy’s Rueben and enjoyed it as well. Grace was pleasant and personable and spot on with her check ins without being overbearing. Their WiFi was down so it was cash only and we were greeted and informed upon entry to make an informed decision. After driving all day, we were looking to grab a bite submerged in the Port Royal culture and GG’s didn’t disappoint. It’s a great family friendly environment with a welcoming vibe. Excellent option for an experience outside of the everyday options. The hospitality was honest, friendly, and welcoming. Would like to check out the karaoke night on a Saturday night as it seems it would be a fun evening of bonding with other locals and visitors. Thank you!
